The objective

In a world full of distractors like ours, how can we possibly stay focused? Distractions are not only easy to access – they’re also designed to be incredibly pleasant to use. And that, well, is a massive problem. They consume your free time to such a degree that you may even forget you could be using that time to work on meaningful projects – or simply to think.

This week, your aim is to eliminate distractions for a small portion of each day to focus on one single project.

How-to Guide

Choose one project you’d love to work on this week. Each day, dedicate 90 minutes to this project.
Turn off your phone – or better yet, put it on flight mode in another room.

Remove all notifications, avoid unnecessary contact, and give your full attention to the project you’ve chosen.

Repeat this for the next seven days.

Benefits

Instead of procrastinating or doing semi-productive tasks, you’ll be deeply committed to one project, with full focus, for an entire week.

It’s nearly impossible to produce nothing from such dedicated effort – and you’ll be prouder of the result than you might expect.
