The objective

Your seemingly delicious morning will turn into a brutal nightmare in this challenge.

Every morning of the upcoming week, do 100 push-ups and replace your warm and comfortable showers with cold showers (for the whole length of the shower – come on, it’s summer). If you can’t manage to do 100 push-ups, consider finding an alternative exercise such as knee push-ups or inclined push-ups.

If you don’t shower in the morning, use the same protocol in the evening.

How-to Guide

Every time, just before showering, complete 100 push-ups and then go to the shower.

But your journey isn’t done yet.

Swap out your shower tap to cold. Hopefully, your push-up exercises will keep you warm enough. If you’re wondering what “cold” is, the tap should be turned all the way on. If you’re wondering what a “push-up” is – well – that’s embarrassing, just look on YouTube.

Benefits

When it comes to push-ups, the benefits extend to overall strength, as this exercise engages virtually the entire body. The most important muscle groups include the pectorals, shoulders, back, biceps, and triceps.

For cold showers, the benefits are primarily linked to our well-being, for a dopaminergic reason (I’m a biologist – believe me), our mental resilience, and to the physiological changes, particularly fat-related (no worries – it is about losing weight), that take place in our bodies.
