SEASON I
Clarity of Mind

Objective of this week

Humans have been painting things since the early stages of our species’ cognitive development. It was a way to express emotions and ideas through colors and shapes.

By leaving a trace of what we experienced in our era, we pass on a portion of our narrative and fragments of knowledge to future generations.

This week, the focus is on painting a canvas that you are proud of. Through this activity, the goal is to learn something new, whether it is a rational skill like a painting technique or something related to your identity, such as a way to express yourself.

Benefits

While painting, you eventually feel emotions.

Through your brushstrokes, you can free yourself from these emotions and express them on the canvas. And, well, this is a great way to reorganize your mind when there’s a glimmer of chaos in it.

As painting is a creative activity, the challenge also allows you to seek inspiration and ideas through the process of painting.

How-to guide

1) You’ll need a brush, a paint palette (acrylic, for example), a canvas, or simply a thick sheet of paper. Buy some if you need to, or use colored pencils as an alternative.

2) Come up with an idea of what you’d like to create, and perhaps learn a technique.

3) By the end of the week, create a painting that you really like.
